This fitting is secured with a single, heavy duty, flat head, Phillips screw (3585-0408) that may be still on your kayak. Re-use original screw if possible. The fitting will guide ¼ inch bungee/rope under the two open hooks. This fitting must be used in an indentation molded into the deck in order to work properly. (Not for custom work.) The screw secures into a nut-sert molded in the deck. This plastic fitting is also used as the seat pull grip on some tandem kayaks. Re-use original screw if possible.
